My Journey of Faith, Purpose, and Words

Hello dear reader,

My name is May Kawaala, and I’m honored to welcome you into my world — a world where faith meets real life, and where God’s love turns brokenness into beauty. I was born and raised in Uganda, and today I live and serve in the United States, carrying with me a lifelong mission: to share God’s message of hope, healing, and purpose with the world.

From Uganda to the United States

Growing up in Uganda shaped who I am — a woman rooted in faith, family, and compassion. It’s where I first felt the gentle call of God on my life. That calling has taken me far beyond my homeland, and now, from my home in the United States, I continue to write, teach, and minister to people across continents.

My story is one of grace and perseverance. It’s proof that no matter where you begin, God can take your life and use it for something extraordinary.

 Why I Write

Writing, for me, isn’t just an expression — it’s a calling. Each of my books is born from deep reflection, prayer, and lived experience. I write to heal hearts, strengthen families, and remind readers that God still speaks through everyday life.

Here are some of the works closest to my heart:

  • The Secret Behind Standing Marriages — A heartfelt look at what makes love last when life gets hard.
  • Workable Marriages — A practical guide to rebuilding connection and trust through biblical wisdom.
  • God’s Genuine Heart for a Purposed Life — A journey into discovering and walking in your God-given purpose.
  • Living by God’s Word — A devotional invitation to anchor your daily life in Scripture.
  • Humility Can Rest Your Soul — A quiet, reflective message on finding peace through humility.

Each book I write is a bridge — between faith and daily life, between pain and restoration.

 My Ministry and Legacy

Many people also know me as a worshiper, counselor, and teacher of the Word. Alongside my late husband, Pastor Benon Kawaala, we founded and led Healing Outreach Ministries International (HOMI) — a ministry dedicated to preaching the gospel and transforming lives.

When my husband went to be with the Lord in 2018, my world changed forever. But even in that valley, God whispered purpose. I chose to continue our shared mission through the Pastor Benon Kawaala Foundation (PBKF) and Angels of the World Families (AOWF) — organizations that support widows, orphans, and families in need both in Uganda and the United States.

That part of my journey has taught me that when God gives you a mission, it doesn’t end with loss — it grows through love.

 My Message to the World

If there’s one thing I want readers to feel when they open my books, it’s hope.

“God’s love doesn’t just fix what’s broken — it makes it new.”

That truth defines both my life and my writing. Whether I’m speaking to married couples, young believers, or anyone searching for purpose, my message remains the same: you are never too lost, too late, or too broken for God’s love to reach you.

 What’s Next

As I continue this journey in the United States, my heart is full of new stories, revelations, and lessons to share. My upcoming books will explore deeper themes of faith, spiritual growth, and living authentically in today’s world.

Every time I write, I picture the reader — someone just like you — longing for encouragement, strength, and peace. My prayer is that through my words, you will feel seen, renewed, and reminded that your life has divine purpose.

 A Personal Note

Thank you for visiting my page, for reading my books, and for walking this journey with me.

Your support means more than you can imagine. Together, we are spreading light, one page at a time.

With love and grace,

— May Kawaala
