Writing this book has been a journey of reflection, healing, and gratitude. Every chapter carries a piece of my heart and the story of how God walked with me through love, ministry, trials, and victory.
I did not write this book as a theologian or scholar, but as a woman who has seen God’s faithfulness in marriage—a wife, a mother, and a servant of God who has experienced both the beauty and pain of covenant love. Through every season—joy and sorrow, celebration and loss—God has remained my strength and my song.
My late husband, Pastor Benon Kawaala, and I built our marriage on the foundation of God’s Word. We learned that love is not sustained by emotion alone, but by prayer, faith, forgiveness, and the daily decision to trust God together. Even after his passing, I continue to see the hand of God shaping my life and ministry, turning pain into testimony and trials into triumph.
This book is not simply about marriage; it is about the God who builds, restores, and sustains relationships. It is a testament to His power to turn mourning into dancing, brokenness into beauty, and loneliness into renewed strength.
As you read these pages, I pray that you will see beyond my story and encounter the God who is still faithful today. My desire is that every couple, every widow, and every believer will find encouragement and renewed hope in these words.
Let this book remind you that:
Marriage is a divine covenant, not a human contract.
God is the third cord that holds every union together.
When He is the foundation, no storm can destroy what He has built.
May this message strengthen your faith, heal your heart, and inspire you to build your marriage—and your life—anchored in God’s unshakable love.
“The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made.”
— Psalm 145:13
With love and gratitude,
May Kawaala
